Android Forums. Haleybop Lurker. I'm new to this and hope I"m posting in the right spot, android phone downloaded picture looks weird. I've searched to see if others are having the same problem but can't find any matches. I've noticed that odd pictures are showing up in my gallery.
They are always Adidas shoe pictures with various other items. I've actually done a search for the android phone downloaded picture looks weird of the picture and it shows up in a ton of Photobucket users' albums. There are also a couple of game shots in their own new folders. I've since removed the offending games. The odd thing is, that as long as this new "adidas" folder is in my gallery, my pictures taken with the phone won't show up.
When I go to view them, there is that little icon with the exclamation point over a black screen. Also, while I can't see them in my gallery, they are still visible in Astro. Then, if I go into Astro, find the adidas folder, delete it and it's contents, my pictures show back up.
So, my concern is why I'm getting these weird pictures added to my sd card. I'm extremely careful about which apps I download android phone downloaded picture looks weird can't figure out where this is coming from. I'm not sure I understand exactly how all this works and I can't figure out what I've done wrong, but this is driving me crazy. Many thanks! Photos in the stock gallery app like to play hide n seek from time to time. It's odd that a folder would cause this though. If you notice that the pics randomly disappear then reappear after some time i would suggest trying the quickpic gallery app.
This seems to solve the photo disappearing act, android phone downloaded picture looks weird. As for the random photos in a new folder, i have seen some thumbnail pics show up on my gallery like a ford fiesta.
They seem to come from websites i visit. It's like the phone takes a snapshot of the popups or whatever while surfing the net.

People say they are guilty of saving ad pictures on your phone. I haven't used the stock gallery in ages. I like Fishbowl beta. It has stepped option to show all your pictures together in a big group I just scroll down.
That's the way I like it, hate messing with folders. I heard that about Words with Friends, so I never downloaded it. It happened again today. In addition to the weird adidas folder and pictures showing up, pictures I had previously deleted showed up, as well.
I went into Astro and deleted all the thumbnails, hoping that would help thinking that I'm deleting the cache. I did download QuickPic and really like it - I like having all the folders. The weird pictures and previously deleted ones do not show up in QuickPic.
However, my curiosity gets the best of me and I still have to check the Gallery and it drives me crazy when I see them there.
